Design Tip of the Week
Avoid "high hanging" your artwork. Hanging art too high up on a wall is a common mistake. Art should be hung close to eye-level. As an example, think about the height that paintings are hung at a museum—the center of a painting is at eye level.
In an interior, having the art too high breaks the relationship between the artwork and the furnishings and generally looks awkward and arbitrary.

Life on the D-List!
I have a hard time looking at Architectural Digest. Not because I don't like it (true, my own taste may be more Met Home than AD, but . . .). To be honest, it makes me a little jealous. I can't help but look at all those perfectly coiffed rooms with their luxurious furnishings and get a little envious.
